Esaya Mobile Messaging SDK
The Esaya Mobile Messaging SDK provides a rich set of functions to create the PDU (Protocol Description Unit) strings for all types of rich media messages to interact with channels such as GSM/CDMA Modems, direct SMSC connections, cellphone-cable connections and other products such as the Esaya Mobile Messaging Server and the Esaya Mobile Messaging Gateway.

Content types include Animations, Pictures, Sounds, Melodies and Formatted Text. Complete encoding (for send) and decoding (for receive) functions are provided. Also supported is multi-part messages, Unicode, auto-recoverability, cache support for decoding and much more. It also allows developers to programmatically generate OTAP configuration messages for easy setup of mobile phones for WAP, MMS, GPRS, Email, CSD and SyncML.

With this SDK, you no longer need to worry about understanding the complex specifications of the SMS/EMS/WAP Configuration/WAP Push standards, all the octet handling is taken care of by the SDK. The SDK relieves the developer of all issues regarding the PDU protocol - it returns all PDU strings and their lengths so they can be easily transmitted.

In order for a mobile phone user to be able to access services such as WAP, GPRS, MMS or Email on their provider's wireless network, their handset must first be configured with the required settings to enable access to the service. This information can be entered manually into the phone, but this is a complex process and the information being entered is very technical, making the entry of this data difficult and subject to errors. Over The Air Provisioning (OTAP) provides a mechanism for mobile phones to be configured via special binary SMS messages sent to the handset.

Because the SDK provides you with the PDU strings (and their associated properties), developers are free to use any binary SMS delivery channel - GSM Modems, SMPP, cellphone connections through serial cables, BlueTooth and/or InfraRed, Esaya Mobile Messaging Server and/or the Esaya Mobile Messaging Gateway. OTA Messages have traditionally been extremely complex to create, especially concatenated messages.

Since we have both ActiveX and Java versions of the SDK, you can use it on Windows, Mac and POSIX compliant operating systems.
